ARTEMIS CHILDHOOD Greek goddess Artemis Turns 3D

The Dutch Design Hotel Artemis recently celebrated their 10th anniversary, and they wanted to commemorate the event. So they enlisted the help of Leon Keer, a world-famous artist known for his interactive, 3D art installations.

Keer’s idea for the artwork fit perfectly with the hotel’s focus on displaying beautiful artwork for guests and visitors alike to enjoy. He was inspired by the hotel’s name to portray Artemis, the goddess of the hunt in Greek mythology. Artemis was believed to be a protector of the innocent, specifically nature, animals, and childbirth. This led Keer to wonder about what events helped shape Artemis into the goddess she became.

Keer’s art is always interactive: viewers can pose for pictures and become a part of the scene. But this particular art in public places is even more magical. Not only do hotel guests get to enjoy looking at and posing for pictures with the Keer’s art–the art also allows viewers to become a part of the art on an emotional level, when they connect with the vulnerable child inside us all.

Visitors and guests of the hotel posed for pictures with the 3D art installation, and then they posted them on social media. When users shared that they were at The Dutch Design Hotel Artemis, the hotel’s name got free, positive publicity all over social media. Because Keer’s art installation for the hotel is so unique, people can’t resist interacting with it and sharing pictures on social media, bringing attention to The Dutch Design Hotel Artemis and its focus on featuring beautiful art.
